Leverhulme Duty Officer Says Farewell After 40 years
Paul Horner, one of our much loved Duty Officers here at Leverhulme Park Community Leisure Centre is set to retire after 40 years in the business.
Paul explained that he's looking forward to a life outside of leisure, to spend some time for himself, and that his only regret is leaving the incredible team he’s been such an important part of.
Paul said " I will really miss all of the friends I've made here" - Notice how Paul doesn't say ‘colleagues’ or ‘co-workers’, he says ‘friends’, and that sums up the working environment here at Leverhulme Park Community Leisure Centre.
Some of Paul's colleagues said "I don’t want him to retire. I love Paul to bits. He’s just so down to earth and easy to get along with"
Mahendra Patel, Partnership Manager of Bolton Community Leisure Trust said "We're extremely sad to see Paul leave us, he was an asset to our team and continually maintained high standards throughout the centre, and excellent customer care. We wish Paul the best of luck for the future, and thank him for all his hard work over the years."
