New Boccia Club at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre
A brand-new Boccia club has launched at our centre, offering an exciting and inclusive opportunity for individuals to participate in the sport!
The sessions are held on the second Sunday of each month, from 9.30am to 10.30am, and are open to individuals of all abilities.
What is Boccia?
Boccia is a fun and challenging target ball sport that tests muscle control and accuracy. Played from a seated position, players aim to propel balls as close as possible to a white target ball (the jack). It’s ideal for all abilities, with a ramp available to ensure accessibility for all participants.
The game is played indoors on a court roughly the same size as a badminton court and can be competed in as an individual, in pairs, or as a team of three. This sport offers something for everyone, encouraging physical activity, teamwork, and precision.
Who can Join?
Anyone is welcome to join, whether you are looking to get active, meet new people, or try out a new sport. Sessions are open to individuals of all abilities, and the club aims to create a supportive and friendly environment for all participants.
How to join
We invite you to come along, join the fun, and be part of this growing community. Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced player, there's a place for you at the Birmingham Boccia Club!
